M-WERC designed its unique working group structure to provide market insights for members. This month we are featuring the Construction and Engineering Committee which has taken on a new role as a “Center of Excellence.”
Clarke Energy is an award-winning multi-national specialist in the engineering, installation and maintenance of engine-based power plants. Clarke Energy’s offering includes both gas and diesel-fueled technology. With its U.S. headquarters in Waukesha, Wis., Clarke Energy was acquired by the Kohler Company in February 2017. It is the largest authorized distributor and service provider for GE’s reciprocating engine business.
M-WERC is excited to announce dates for our 2019 member meetings! We have scheduled Grid Modernization on May 14; Science and Technology Driven Innovation on July 18; and Talent Development on Oct. 17. All of the members meetings are on our First Floor Conference room located at our office in Milwaukee.
Demo Day provided another great opportunity to showcase M-WERC’s new space in Milwaukee on the second floor of the Energy Innovation Center. The location has really evolved to be ideal for us as an organization as well as the partners and tenants renting offices in our space.

Punctuating another innovative and productive WERCBench Labs Accelerator program season, M-WERC hosted a successful Demo Day March 5 at our Energy Innovation Center in Milwaukee. Each participating startup presented to the audience and competed for cash prizes highlighted by ClearFlame Engines, which took first place and won $10,000.
