Demo Day set for March 5 to showcase WERBench Labs Accelerator Program startups

Our WERCBench Labs Accelerator Program has built a reputation as one of the region’s top accelerator programs for entrepreneurs to test their ideas and grow their businesses relating to energy, power, and controls.

Please accept our invitation to join us at our Demo Day from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5 as we showcase the WERCBench Labs Accelerator Program at our Energy Innovation Center in Milwaukee (4201 North 27th Street).

Demo Day presents startup companies in the energy, power, and controls sector that have successfully completed our 16-week program. Businesses learned customer discovery, worked their business model and value propositions, financial strategies, and legal and accounting methods appropriate for their business. The program concluded with investor readiness training.

The WERCBench Labs start-up business of engineers, scientists, and programmers represents a variety of funding stages, but all are looking to push the bounds of innovation and entrepreneurial spirit. The participating businesses are: Advance Ionics (Milwaukee); Blue Line Battery (Whitewater, Wis.); Present Power Systems (Milwaukee); and Radiant Panel Technologies (Milwaukee).

Each team will have five minutes to present to the audience March 5 and will be competing for cash prizes for the best pitch presentation, as evaluated by a group of independent judges. The startup companies will be competing for an additional $20,000 in awards to be given to the best pitch presentations.

Doors open for networking, cocktails, and appetizers at 5 p.m., with the program beginning at 5:30 p.m. After the presentations, you can network to meet with the startup companies. The award announcements will be at 7 pm.

We are grateful to Northwestern Mutual for being this year’s Demo Day Presenting Sponsor. Their commitment to Milwaukee’s startup community and support of efforts like the WERCBench Labs Accelerator program illustrates Northwest Mutual’s interest in creating jobs and investing in new companies and ideas.
