Updates from M-WERC in Madison

M-WERC continues to expand its presence in Madison on the UW-Madison campus. Early next month M-WERC staff, researchers, and administration from the Grainger Institute for Engineering will gather to plan activities for the coming year.

M-WERC recently welcomed Mariela Paz to the team in Madison. A recent graduate of UW-Madison with a degree biological systems engineering, Mariela previously worked as a part-time research assistant for M-WERC’s Director of Technology Innovation Bruce Beihoff.

In her new role she will support the continued evolution of technology roadmaps for M-WERC. She will also continue to support research efforts with Rockwell Automation at their technology lab located on campus as part of the Grainger Institute for Engineering.

Be sure to follow us on Twitter (@MWERC) for pictures of the event and additional updates on our activities in Madison.

Collaboration efforts are also ongoing with Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) and the State of Wisconsin on M-WERC’s expanded talent development and workforce efforts. This is being led by M-WERC’s Madison office director Dan Ebert (debert@m-werc.org) and WERCBench Labs Managing Director Jacquin Davidson (jdavidson@m-werc.org). Feel free to email either of them for more information on how to get involved in our workforce development efforts or to get answers to questions on how M-WERC may be able to support your workforce needs.
