Industrial Energy Efficiency Working Group Selects Most Impactful Technologies

Plans first Madison Event on May 1st

The M-WERC Industrial Energy Efficiency (IEE) working group has had a very productive first quarter. During our February meeting we finalized our efforts to identify the top priority, most impactful, IEE enabling technologies for small and medium manufacturing. The selections were:

  • Lighting and Controls
  • Compressed Air Systems
  • Motors & Motor Controls (VSD/VFD and Sensors)
  • Pumps, Fans and Blowers (including Ventilation & Control)
  • Process & Facility Heating and Cooling
  • Process and Facility Automation, Controls and Robotics

The IEE WG desires to promote these technologies to our small to medium manufacturing partners. If your company provides products and/or services in this regard to small and medium manufacturers, we want to meet you and learn more about your compelling case studies. We are currently building out a new section on our website ( that will feature these great accomplishments. If you are interested in sharing a compelling customer case study and want to learn more about our IEE WG activities, please contact us at

The IEE WG will be holding our first event of the year in conjunction with the new M-WERC Madison Office on Tuesday, May 1 from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. at the Granger Institute at for Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This will be a great opportunity for Madison area small and medium manufacturers and local top priority IEE related technology and service companies to get acquainted with our team. Registration is limited to sign up today using this link.

Our next IEE WG meeting will be a call-in event from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. CDT on Tuesday, March 20.
