Microgrids Conference a Success
The “most innovative microgrid in the Midwest” was a star of this month’s 3rd Annual Microgrids Conference hosted at Bubolz Nature Preserve in Appleton, WI. Over seventy individuals signed up to hear from a full day of speakers who highlighted how micro-grids will increasingly provide benefits in key areas, such as resiliency, and in critical industries, such as healthcare and utilities. Representatives from state agencies and leading companies shared how they stand ready to move micro-grid projects forward in both financial and physical terms. At the end of the day, guests were given an in-depth tour of the on-site micro-grid that utilizes advanced solar, battery, fuel-cell, gas turbine, and controls technology. Selected presentations and audio from the day are included below.
