UPDATE AS OF JAN 1, 2018

The Industrial Energy Working Group (EE WG) wrapped up a very productive 2017 during the 4th Q by holding two Selling Energy Efficiency (SEE) Workshops, the first hosted by We Energies in Milwaukee on October 13 and the second by Xcel Energy in Eau Claire on December 5th. The 2nd SEE Workshop culminated our efforts to produce a new abbreviated ½ day Workshop. Both Workshops were very successful attracting a full cadre of participants from their host Utility, their small to medium customers and trade allies. The IEE WG also held two meetings by phone and a highly successful four hour planning workshop for 2018.

The IEE-WG is off to a fast start in 2018. During the upcoming year the WG is planning a series of both networking/speaker events and our signature Selling Energy Efficiency Workshops in Madison, Green Bay and Milwaukee. We will focus our events on topics of interest to the following five vertical industries:

  • Food/Beverage Processing
  • Woodworking /Lumber/Paper
  • Plastics
  • Foundry/Metals
  • Breweries

To expand our outreach and impact, during 2018 we will be welcoming to our Working Group small to medium manufacturers from the industries above and small business trade allies that support them. Participation by these smaller concerns will now be much easier and economical thanks to a new M-WERC special purpose “Industry Participant “membership class enabling small users and small trade allies to participate in a single M-WERC Working Group at a very reasonable cost.
