Industrial Energy Efficiency (IEE) – Working Group Update

The Industrial Energy Efficiency (IEE) working group was the first working group formed by M-WERC in 2015. This group is the outcome of the 2014 Building Energy Efficiency strategic roadmap. With more than 30 members from various academic and industries entities in Southeastern Wisconsin, the IEE working group’s next steps are built around its action plans for the upcoming year of 2018.

This includes launching a proprietary sales training program for both suppliers and customers, further form a cooperative partnership for project development and continuing to hold regional conferences for small to medium size manufacturers.

Earlier this fall, the IEE working group hosted a conference on September 21 where more than 30 people participated. On November 16, the IEE working group met in an annual planning meeting to review activities undertaken in 2017 and what efforts were effective and where improvements are possible. Results of this planning meeting will now be used to create an Action Plan for 2018 activities.
